Purpose: The present study was conducted with the aim of identifying the causes and factors influencing temptation (without slipping) in methadone addicts using a grand theory approach. Method: In this research, the reasearch population includes all people who referred to Nikosalamat drug addiction clinic in Ghorve city in 2024, who had a history of drug use (opium and syrup) for at least 3 years and referred to the outpatient treatment center. and at least 6 months had passed since their methadone use, and during this period they had no use other than methadone, and according to the report, they had been tempted at least once a week (without slipping), the selection of samples was by purposeful sampling method, the volume the sample was saturated with 16 people and a semi-structured interview was conducted to collect data. Findings: Factors influencing temptation (without slipping) 1) background factors including physical and psychological factors and interpersonal factors; 2) revealing factors including family factors; 3) sustainability factors including social, cultural and environmental factors; 4) Stabilizing factors including factors related to treatment and lifestyles; was identified and extracted. Conclusion: It can be concluded that temptation is a natural thing, but abnormal slipping makes the path of treatment and recovery difficult. As a result, it is possible to establish and formulate preventive measures by identifying the factors influencing both temptation without slipping and temptation with slipping. and created the ground for successful treatment and recovery and prevention of relapse.
