هدف: هدف پژوهش حاضر مقایسه تکانشوری و ولع مصرف مواد در مردان وابسته به مواد محرک، مخدر و مستعد اعتیاد بود. روش: روش پژوهش حاضر علی-مقایسه‌ای بود. جامعه‌آماری پژوهش شامل تمامی بیماران وابسته به مواد مراجعه‌کننده به مراکز درمان اعتیاد و دانشجویان دانشگاه پیام نور در شهر تبریز در سال 1402 بود. از این بین، 150 نفر در سه گروه افراد وابسته به مواد مخدر (50 نفر)، افراد وابسته به مواد محرک (50 نفر) و دانشجویان با نمره بالا در مقیاس آمادگی به اعتیاد (50 نفر) به روش نمونهگیری در دسترس انتخاب شدند و به پرسشنامه تکانشوری بارت، پرسشنامه عقاید ولع انگیز و مقیاس آمادگی به اعتیاد پاسخ دادند. داده‌ها با روش تحلیل واریانس چندمتغیری تجزیه و تحلیل شدند. یافته ها: نتایج پژوهش نشان داد که بین سه گروه در شدت تکانشوری و ولع مصرف مواد تفاوت معنی داری وجود داشت. میزان تکانشوری و ولع مصرف در افراد وابسته به ماده مخدر و محرک بیشتر از افراد مستعد و در افراد وابسته به مواد محرک بیشتر از افراد وابسته به مواد مخدر بود. نتیجه گیری: بالا بودن تکانشوری و ولع مصرف در افراد وابسته به مواد در مقایسه با افراد مستعد اعتیاد، اهمیت مشکلات شناختی در اعتیاد را نشان می دهد. افزایش شدت ولع مصرف مواد و تکانشوری در افراد وابسته به مواد محرک در مقایسه با مواد مخدر، احتمالا به ماهیت داروشناختی این مواد مربوط می شود.
