هدف: هدف پژوهش حاضر بررسی نقش میانجی اجتناب تجربه‌ای در رابطه بین سوءرفتار دوران کودکی و آسیب‌های طیف برونی ساز در افراد مصرف‌کننده مواد بود. روش: روش پژوهش توصیفی-همبستگی از نوع معادلات ساختاری بود. جامعه آماری پژوهش شامل همه مصرف‌کنندگان مواد مراجعهکننده به مراکز درمانی مصرف مواد شهر سنندج بود که از بین آنها 333 نفر به روش نمونه‌گیری در دسترس انتخاب شد. ابزارهای پژوهش شامل مقیاس کودک‌آزاری، سیاهه آسیب‌های طیف برون سازی و پرسشنامه پذیرش و عمل-نسخه دوم بود. به منظور تحلیل مدل پژوهش از مدل معادلات ساختاری با استفاده از نرم افزار AMOS-24 استفاده شد. یافته‌ها: نتایج نشان داد که مدل از برازش مطلوبی برخوردار بود. سوءرفتار دوران کودکی بر آسیب‌های طیف برونی‌ساز اثر مستقیم و معنی‌دار داشت و اجتناب تجربه‌ای در رابطه بین سوءرفتار دوران کودکی و آسیب‌های طیف برونی‌ساز نقش واسطه‌ای ایفا کرد. نتیجه‌گیری: شناخت دوره بحرانی کودکی و اثرات پایدار تجارب آسیب زا، که می‌تواند منجر به برونی‌سازی اختلالات طیف و استفاده از مکانیسم‌های مقابله‌ای ناکارآمد مانند اجتناب تجربی شود، بسیار مهم است. یافته‌های این مطالعه می‌تواند با آموزش والدین در مورد نقش حیاتی آنها در پیشگیری از مشکلات مصرف مواد، پیامدهای عملی داشته باشد. بنابراین، تأکید بر این عوامل برای پرداختن مؤثر به مسائل مصرف مواد ضروری است.
