Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to Development of a Model for Structural Relationships of Adolescents' Predicting Addiction Based on Rumination and the Mediating Role of Psychological Disturbances. Method: This research was applied in terms of its purpose, and in terms of its method, it was a descriptive correlation of the type of structural equations. The research population was all male and female students of the second year of secondary school in Mashhad in the academic year of 2022-2023, and 352 of them were randomly selected. The data collection tools are also the addiction tendency scales of Weed & Butcher (1992); Rumination was by Nolen-Hoeksema & Morrow (1991) and psychological disturbance by Lovibond and Lovibond (1995). Mean and standard deviation were used to describe the findings, and Pearson correlation tests and structural equation models were used to infer information using SPSS-27 and AMOS-24 software. Findings: The results of this research showed that this research model has a favorable fit and that rumination is effective both directly and indirectly through the mediation of psychological disturbance on readiness for addiction. Conclusion: Based on these results, He said that mental rumination and psychological disturbances are serious factors affecting the readiness of teenagers to become addicted to drugs.
