Abstract:   (289 Views)
Objective: The present study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of self-healing approach-based treatment on resilience and compassion among substance-dependent men under withdrawal. Method: This study employed a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group. The statistical population comprised all men using substances referring to addiction treatment centers in Zahedan in 2024. A sample of 30 individuals was selected through purposive sampling and randomly assigned to either the experimental group (n=15) or the control group (n=15). Participants in both groups completed the resilience scale and the self-compassion scale during the pretest and posttest phases. The experimental group received ten 90-minute sessions of self-healing therapy. Data were analyzed using multivariate analysis of covariance. Results: The results indicated that the self-healing approach-based therapy significantly increased resilience and self-compassion in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: It is suggested that self-healing training be utilized as an intervention to enhance self-care skills in substance-dependent individuals under withdrawal.
