Method: The study was a correlational design. A total of 530 students of Guilan University were selected by cluster sampling method and answered to the questionnaires of religious attitudes, coping styles, self-concept, and addiction tendency. Results: The results showed that the proposed structural model had a good fit and all predictor and mediator variables including positive and negative religious coping predicted 42% of the variance of addiction tendency in students, which was moderate. Positive and negative religious coping mediated the relationship between religious attitude and self-concept with addiction tendency.
