Aim: The aim of this research was to investigation the direct and indirect effect of interpersonal conflict on addiction with mediating role of job stress.
Method: The statistical population of the study consisted of all employees of Aghajari Oil & Gas Utility Company that among them 292 were selected by simple random sampling. The instruments used in present study consist of addiction questionnaires, interpersonal conflict questionnaires, and job stress questionnaires. Fitness of the proposed model was examined through structural equation modeling (SEM), using SPSS-21 and AMOS-21 software packages.
Results: The results supported the positive effect of interpersonal conflict on job stress, the positive effect of interpersonal conflict and job stress on addiction, and indirect effect of interpersonal conflict on addiction through job stress. General, findings indicated that the proposed model fit the data.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that interpersonal conflict directly and through job stress effects on addiction.
